He was relieved by senior Dominic Caprini for innings 5 and 6 with Tyler Moniz-Witten striking out the side in the 7th to close it out.
All offense came in the first inning; started out with a Preston Lau base-on-balls, who stole second afterwards. a short single by Jordai Aguilar moved Preston over to third.
First run of the game came on a Taylor Clark single to short, scoring Lau. a sacrifice bunt attempt by Thomas McClure led to the second run of the game thanks to an overthrow by Monarch’s pitch Aleck Servin which score Aguilar. A wild pitch, 3 walks, base-on-error, an infield single, 2 more walks, and a Sac Fly scored the other seven runs.

Taylor Clark led the offense going 1-2 with 2 RBI’s; Chase Funkhouser also went 1-2 picking up the teams first extra-base hit of the season with a bloop double in left field in the 5th.

Panthers look to make it 2-0 Friday Night as they host the Mills Vikings.
